Can't you buy a USB card? I thought that was possible. If so, it
might be a cheap way to be able to buy a Linux-compatible scanner.
That's pretty intolerable. I have the problem because my scanner is
parallel. I get past the problem by running Win4Lin as I no longer
have a Windows partition on my work machine. Unfortunately, they
haven't released a version compatible with the 2.4 kernel yet so I'm
sort of on hold in terms of upgrades. Scanner...or new Linux :-)
