[expert] A process that won't die

A transfer to my usb zip drive hung up. I'm trying to umount it but
get the "device busy" message. So, I 'lsof |grep zip' and get a list
of processes that are using it and try to kill the processes with a -9
switch.

But they won't die! How do I really kill them, dead, really dead? :-)
