you're quite welcome...and as a side note...just to stir the pot a
little :)
I have a feeling that it's just the newer WD drives that are having this
problem. at least more so then the older ones cause just yesterday at
work I install 8.0 on two WD drives successfully the first time through
without so much as a hiccup. these drives though are vintage 1997
drives. two 2.1GB drives so the hardware specs are likely very different
then the ones being manufactured today.
Or...maybe I just got REAL lucky cause it would NOT install on my much
newer Quantex machine that also has a WD drive in. I've since convinced
my supervisor never to purchase that hardware ever again. In fact he's
so convinced that he's allowing me to swap my machine for the next new
one coming in so it doesn't give me such a fit.
