Hello!
On my LapTop (IBM 380ED) I installed few months ago Mandrake 7.2... I
remember the installation process was perfect: the installer recognized all
my hardware (please note: it didn't ask me about the mouse: when the
installer GUI appeared it worked!) and everything was ok...
Now I've just downloaded Mandrake 8... the first operation has been
"upgrade" but after this process my mouse didn't work...
So I decided to format the HD and start with a full installation...
In the first steps the mouse didn't work... when I was asked about it, I
chose Standard PS/2 mouse and in the next step the mouse worked fine.
After installation and rebooting mouse didn't work anymore: when Aurora
starts I can see the mouse pointer but I can't move it... the same when I
start XFree...
In the log I can see this message:

**) Mouse1: Protocol: "PS/2"
(**) Mouse1: Core Pointer
(EE) xf86OpenSerial: Cannot open device /dev/psaux No such device.
(WW) Mouse1: cannot open input device
(==) Mouse1: Buttons: 3
(**) Mouse1: Emulate3Buttons, Emulate3TimeOut: 50
(EE) xf86OpenSerial: Cannot open device /dev/psaux No such device.
(WW) Mouse1: cannot open input device.

The mouse section in XF86Config-4 is this:

Identifier "Mouse1"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "PS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/psaux"
Option "Emulate3Buttons"
Option "Emulate3Timeout" "50"

In the old 7.2 I had XFree 3 but in its config file (XF86Config) the section
was almost the same...
Which is my problem?
Thanks for support!
