Actually I was referring to Konqueror's lack of a noticeable speed increase.
Graphics are not loading any faster in Konqueror than they are in Netscape.
That includes files loaded directly from the hard drive, not just files
brought in over the phone line.

Here's a perfect example of why I have decided to stop using Konqueror until
I get Mandrake 8.0 (which, I presume, has a newer version of KDE): I cannot
log in to MandrakeForum using Konqueror. EVER. Not at all. Netscape lets me
do so. Another example: I cannot log in to secure web sites to check on
investments and the like. Netscape lets me do so. Another example: I am
living about 1000 miles from my home town, and like to check the news on the
home town newspaper's web site. In Konqueror, the stories start about 3/4 of
the way across the page and run off the right side. In Netscape they are
centered and easily readable. I could cite more examples, but what is the
point?
I have only had the misfortune of using Konqueror 1.9.8; if you are using a
newer version, well, good for you. More power to you. If you are getting
better results using the same version as I am, that's a poser for sure, but
it doesn't change what has happened to me. I am simply relating my own
experience. When I get the new software, of course I will give it a fair
trial. Until then, my testing period has ended with an "unsatisfactory" grade
for Konqueror 1.9.8.
