Actually it did quite well under our previous test program, bonnie; however, extensive
kernel changes are required to accommodate it, particularly with the install kernel, 
and the resulting kernel loses a great deal of hardware support, so it was dropped 
without any further consideration until someone has time to work the hardware support 
back in somehow.  If we have a filesystem, we want to be able to supply it at install 
time.

Civileme

ext3 seems to work acceptably with knfsd as well.
