Couldn't MandrakeUpdate simply be modified to NOT display kernels? Prevent the problem from showing up at all in the app and confusing people: "Well, the kernel was there in the MandrakeUpdate window so I updated it. Why did it show up in the window if you are not supposed to update it this way?"
