=======================
I have an old (3 yrs) Kodak DC260 that has made several trips to Europe
with me, has been borrowed by literally dozens of people, been drop from
above waist height once that I know of, and yet has performed flawlessly
and takes wonderful 1.3 MB picutres. I've recently purchased for my
colleagues three more (more advanced) Kodak cameras and they all seem
quite happy with them (I'm the only linux user..) Kodak cameras usually
appear quite prominently in gphoto lists. There are MANY other excellent
cameras out there, but I've only tried Kodak and a very early model
Olympus which was also very nice.
HTH,
Mike
