No, I have usb-ohci and usbcore loaded.  usb-uhci fails to load with 
dependency errors.

If I boot with devfs loaded, I have no /dev/sd* devices; if I boot with 
devfs=nomount option, I get all the sd* devices, but attempts to mount 
/mnt/camera to /dev/sda1 did not work.   I finally went to 
/lib/modules/kernel*/..., found the modules for usb and scsi devices, and 
started modprobing anything that looked like it might work.  I ended up with 
errors to the effect the kernel didn't know how to mount a device with a 
"fat" partition.  Maybe I was on the right track, but I had to move on to 
other things.

Kernel 2.4.13 here.  It hasn't worked through all the 2.4.x kernels, though.  
When I get the time, I'll recompile the kernel/modules for FAT support and 
try again.
