Gee that's rather trite and myopic.

Let's see, I use telnet to test and debug daemons. I also use it to
configure non-unix devices, such as printer servers which only
communicate with telnet.

Telnet is also useful when talking to winblows boxes, etc.

Damn, I guess I'm just don't care about security and/or I'm stupid or
somethin...
