when you determined these to be faults of the OS, did you consider it might
be a "misconfiguratiion due to lack of installer experance?

starnge, MY standard version came with a number of capable video players,
just depends on the video compressor used by the video creater. some M$
products are not ported to Linux due to the "secret" nature of the software,
and laws that make it a crime to figure out how someone else did what they
did, if you let anyone know you have figured out what they did (DCMA)

well knowing what the error YOU had said (as opposed to some error with db3),
might be a big help in figuring out what erro YOU had.

if you can download, but only have 40.00 bucks per month speding money, did
you know you can down load the whole distro for free? with that little spare
cash tho, I might suggest that working a second job might be a better idea
than spending time watching downloads of mpgs and listening to MP3s, but
that's just the opinion of a man with teenage offspring. of course, if I
managed $ 40.00 at the end of the month, my kids would want to spend it too.

I don't have any problem with going "#2" I am as regular as anyoone who eats
a prune oatmeal muffin every morning, and I don't have a problem going #1
either, nice of you to ask. < big stupid OLD rednecky grin>

Ohhh,, you are asking about the second problem. would also help to know the
complete name of the RPM you are trying to install.
