Sorry, I forgot something. If it is not a USB switch, then disconnecting the mouse is assuredly NOT what the switch does. A PS/2 switch spoofs the box into not knowing it doesn't have a mouse (which is why you can boot the box while switched to another box. If it is a USB switch, then that is exactly what the switch does.
