Well, I figured out the problem. I had just upgraded Mozilla from 0.9.7 to 0.9.8, and Galeon along with it. This installed an incompatible version of the libnspr4 library, which was causing Evolution to fail. My final fix was to downgrade back to Mozilla 0.9.7, and Galeon 1.0.2. LET EVERYONE BE WARNED!! Evolution 1.0.2 *will* fail with the RedHat RPM of Mozilla 0.9.8, because of libnspr4. I tried to install a different RPM (from Mandrake Cooker) of just libnspr4, but Evolution still failed. Only downgrading Mozilla restored me to a compatible version of libnspr4. I am aware of a couple of different Mozilla 0.9.8 RPMs for Mandrake, one in Cooker which won't work because of libpng3 issues (I do not run a full Cooker system, so I am still using libpng2), and the other I saw at MandrakeUserOnline.org -- I may give that one a try at a later date, but for the moment I am just happy to have Evolution back.
