I had no problem with putting the "nomount" in lilo.conf either; whenever I was taking devfs online and offline for various reasons. A kernel recompile is unecessary as far as disabling devfs is concerned. I haven't had any problems with devfs as of yet; the USB bus devices seem to be recognized and work OK. Certainly everything inside the box is OK. The only suggestion I can offer is that if you have the same device problem under both /dev filesystem types, then it may be time to start looking in other places for the source of the problem. _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
