Ah yes, the old "when in doubt, blame the user" gambit. ;) But seriously, is there any reason you wouldn't want to use MySQL/Postgres? Both are fairly light and compact, and neither is a major tax on available resources. I could understand it if we were talking about a $2,000 pricetag on an app like MS-SQL server, but the price here is right... and they both come packaged with most distros, including 'drake.
