This is the "expert" list and there hasn't been any solid information to go on. There has been a lot of bitching going on about this and that, but nothing technically concrete about a specific problem. As for 8.2 problems...I've only experienced one as far as config goes and that was with Samba. That would be the one that comes with 8.2, and _that_ was on the beta4 release. So I'd have to say a good bit of the trouble was PBCK and the later version of Samba. When I use the previously released version of Samba things started to smooth out for me. Still the PBCK error was more then all could bear along with plain old "old" hardware and had to go back to 8.1 for this old machine that is handling "aLL" of the server/gateway/firewall functions on my home network. I've installed 8.2 on my workstation at work and it's gorgeous! slick as s whistle and not one problem. I've got a brand new Dell Dimension 2100 coming in the next few days that is going to be quickly and mercilessly stripped of WinXP and have Mandrake 8.2 proudly installed in it's place. -- daRcmaTTeR --------------------------------------------------------------------- If at first you don't succeed do what your wife told you to do the first time!
