It does check permissions, from a security standpoint.  So it will
resolve insecure permissions; from what I've seen on the list.  The
question is though, will it reset said permissions back to what they
were originally?  I don't think the two permission's states are
necessarily one and the same.

I havent' actually used msec so I'm not sure about this.
