I have a few boxes with LFS (large filesystem support.) One is a Mandrake 8.0 and another Mandrake 8.1. They each have filesystems with type ext3. One has a 5.5GB mpeg file and the other a 27GB tar file. Both systems are with stock kernels. The only way that I could move a > 4GB file intact was by using rsync ... rsync -e ssh thisfile otherbox:thisfile I tried and failed using NFS w/ cp mv etc., scp and ftp . Only some things are compiled/built with LFS support. -- Kevin O'Connor "People will be free to devote themselves to activities that are fun ...
