All the major PC manufacturers sell entry level servers without operating systems. (e.g. HP, Dell, Gateway).
I am confident that Linux can handle most applications, even those with an SQL server back end. Server modules that depend on Win32 API are the exception. I have an application coming up for a client in the next 4 - 6 weeks and I'd like not to be embarrassed by dumping in Windows NT or 2000 Server at the last minute. I plan to test with "wine" and/or Codeweavers wine but I could use some insight on other's experiences. Jim Tarvid
