I don't run MS apps but I cannot expect the same from my clients.

I tried Office 95 under wine a few years ago and it worked (sort of).

Server side apps usually have little or no GUI. Some pre or post process data 
base requests on the client. I exepect to be in less trouble with these 
comapred to full blown GUI apps..

I am hoping to find someone who has tried one of these apps instead of the 
usual review of QuickBooks Pro and Office under wine.

The MS tax ($600 and up) is 100% of the price of the server ($500 - $650).
