My 2 cents... NEVER run critical mission apps under wine. It ALFA, not 
even beta yet. window$ apps are unstable by themselves.. under wine.. 
you can figure...

If you absolutely NEED win's API.. then win2k should provide you a 
reasonable system, if properly configured of course.
