As a rule I normally wipe out any references to kaffe when I install JDK on my systems. I then create symlinks in /usr/bin that point to /usr/java/jdk1.4.1_01/bin. It's far easier to set up for Java that way and harmless to the system.I'm not really sure I know what I'm talking about, but I once got confused with java installations because Mandrake 8.2 came with kaffe and at that point I didn't know there were Sun versions and other versions. Perhaps you have kaffe 1.1?Dave.
As for the plugins needed by Netscape/Mozilla/Konq they can be obtained from the netscape site that I posted the URL for earlier in the thread. While they are not at the version number that the aforenamed version of JDK is the version difference will have absolutely no impact upon the system or your browser since the plugins that are downloaded are stored in /usr/local/netscape/plugins. From here they're accessed only by Konq, Mozilla, and or Netscape.
