Todd, IBM released a statement saying that their drives were not meant to be used 24 hours a day/7 days a week. (or somesuch to that effect). Since then, their reputation has been less than "glowing". I've got a 60 gig Deskstar IDE that I've had no problems with (so far). Got a 20 gig IDE Seagate in my youngests' computer - no problems with it so far either.
