Postfix stores some information in a changeroot "jail" at
/var/spool/postfix. Check the file /var/spool/postfix/etc/resolv.conf and
make sure it contains a valid nameserver line. Check the other files in
that same dir while you're at it to be sure they're correct as well. Don't
be tempted to symlink to your existing config files in /etc, it won't work
because while running, postfix can't read files outside the jail (at least
that's how I understand it). Secure I guess, but maddening isn't it?
Sincerely,
Jim Hubbard
