No, because: a) the user will bang their head on it for an hour or two, give up, and come back the next day to find that it quietly started working for no apparent reason. What's the number one complaint about Windows? Things mysteriously stop and start working.
b) it's going to have to be a SUID script, which is something to minimize rather than maximize.
