Actually, this couldn't have been your point as you were talking about Mandrake Linux, not Corporate Server. I brought up CS as an alternative to someone using "Mandrake Linux" as a server OS. I do see your point and have argued it myself... you're preaching to the choir. =) If you want to see something done here, I suggest emailing Deno ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) as he loves advocating this type of stuff. I really have nothing to do with pricing and I've already made my opinion known. Discussing it on this list probably isn't good. In fact, I'd encourage everyone who would like to see a lower cost Corporate Server (ie. no support whatsoever from MandrakeSoft other than updates for a base cost of $250USD or so) to email [EMAIL PROTECTED] (or [EMAIL PROTECTED], I don't remember which) and make your voice heard. The more people MandrakeSoft sees would be willing to purchase a support-less Corporate Server for something reasonable for a server OS (and no, $100 isn't reasonable in my mind, but $250 or $300 would be). If enough people indicate this, you never know what might happen. -- MandrakeSoft Security; http://www.mandrakesecure.net/ Online Security Resource Book; http://linsec.ca/ "lynx -source http://linsec.ca/vdanen.asc | gpg --import" {FE6F2AFD : 88D8 0D23 8D4B 3407 5BD7 66F9 2043 D0E5 FE6F 2AFD}
