I'm no expert in that regard, but I for one like the idea of checks being 
triggered periodically. It would seem to provide a modicum of insurance 
against the more gradual sorts of file corruption. But that's just me. :)

OTOH, if you only reboot every six months or so ... you do the math. ;)
