why 'rsync'? the man file says it's for use over a network. 'cp' shd do the job just as well. on my new larger HDD i do intend to have a part'n /bkp & i already have a script for backing up the dirs i need to back up, so making a cron job out of these items is the likely sol'n. -- ========================,,============================================ SUPPORT ___________//___, Philip Webb : [EMAIL PROTECTED] ELECTRIC /] [] [] [] [] []| Centre for Urban & Community Studies TRANSIT `-O----------O---' University of Toronto
