Mandrake 9.1 Really is the pits. I love 9.0. It works right out of the box.
Try this with 9.1 enable ifplgd and shut you switch or hub off for a day.
You network will go down and when you cut you switch or hub back on it
doesn't come back until you reboot the box. This ifplugd is gay. I mean I
hate to say this MS really works it will come right back as soon as the hub
or switch comes on. I wish
that they would implement features that worked instead of implementing
gayish features that don't.

haven't tried that, and the only squid I have is on a 9.0 box (70 miles
away, and I'm not brave enough to urpmi through that upgrade :-)

still, one messed up package does not equal a worthless distribution.
