This is a bug in the fluxbox package which compounds the menu problem. I have reported it. It has been explained to me that there is a locking problem in rpm-4.2 that is causing this problem. Apparently, when update-menus runs during the rpm installation, rpm has not yet released the lock on the package database, so update-menus cannot query it, so the package list comes up empty, and consequently the menus do too. > If you run > update-menus -d > It will highlight any malformed lines for you > > In my case the problem was a line reading > ?package(menu): needs="fluxbox" icon="applications_section.png" > section="Fluxbox/Styles/" title="" charset="utf8" > > The null "title" is not permitted.
