While MDK 9.2 might have been the first distribution to get its name in the news for destroying CD-ROMs, I saw a posting on the Gentoo website this evening that someone killed their LG CD-ROM by installing Gentoo.
Of course that doesn't help the bad press that Mandrake has had. LeRoy
