Yes, this is a pretty common scam out there.

I have made a change to the classifieds to help prevent these scammers from
using f500.org as a vehicle to execute their scams. Effective immediately
you must register and be logged in to be able to send a message to a
classified advertiser. Anyone can still browse the ads, but unless you are a
registered user, you won't be able to contact the advertiser, and you won't
see any contact info (email address, phone, etc).

Please DO NOT put your contact information in the body of your ad,
especially your email address. That's a virtual guarantee that your email
will be harvested by spammers.
