I also see no reason to change the weight for 494 engine.  My old updated 85
Red Devil with the BIG ENGINE (494) installed, weighed in after the race at
some were between 805 and 828.  Some of that is due to gas still left in the
tank and scale inaccuracies. I weigh about 190 all suited up.  If my old Red
Devil with all my chunky welding and very thick fiberglass body can get
there, the newer cars should be able to.

Look around your car,  do you see things the you don't need. As a last
resort, get rid of the battery and starter. Twenty pounds gone in a instant.
