Actually, a driver who wan't able to force himself to drive at the limit on Forbes Field may do great(relative to others) in a low grip environment.
At lower cornering speeds, one goes thru slaloms slower also.
One has more time to think.

To me runing on a slippery surface is like running an event in slow motion. Pretty easy stuff.

So, one may argue that the lower grip surface has leveled the laying field among drivers, not cars.

It also give a premium toward having the FV differential, though.
Plus, no grip is no fun. I don't even show up at low grip races anymore.

Bill and all,

Do not read this response as sarcastic, it is not . . . especially since I
know virtually nothing about Solo . . .

Isn't the surface/grip just another factor that makes each course unique?
Since it's the same surface/grip for everyone, and thus perfectly fair, why
would it reduce the participation? If anything, it seems like less grip
simply puts an even higher premium on driving and experience.
