John, You bring up a good point. I, for one, joined SCCA not sure of what class to race and leaning toward an SSC Miata. I spent 6 months scouring SportsCar before settling on F500, however, we may very well get better results from Grassroots Motorsports. Let's hear some more input on this from the list. Cory

The people who are racing already have a favorite class and car, and, I feel, are not likely to change to something they may view as a 'lower class'. I don't belong to SCCA and would not see an ad placed there. A much larger audience is available through a magazine like GrassRoots Motor Sports magazine. Ads placed there will attract new racers to the class. Submit an article covering the history of F500, with lots of photos to attract the reader's eye. The article should cover the performance of our class in relation to the other classes, and the relative low cost. I suspect that it might cost as much to build a spec Miata as it costs to purchase a used track proven F500. Another possibility is to place ads for the F500 web site. It is such a wealth of information. That is what turned me on to F500. I saw an ad in a local paper, and curiosity made me search for information in the Internet, where I found the F500 site. I had never heard of F500 before. I use my car for autocrosses and Time Trials. It's an '89 Red Devil with a Kawasaki 440. Whenever people ask about the car, I talk up the class and national and regional competition. I've let other drivers try out the car at autocrosses. I haven't seen any changes yet, but hopefully some of these drivers will consider F500 for their next class.
