Regarding Louie's suggestion below....every market has a variety of events that attract car/racing enthusiasts. It could be a "cruise in", a pro-racing event, a car show, etc. All of these are great venues to get exposure to potential F500 participants. At the Cleveland Auto Show, held each year in February, the SCCA region has a booth. Over 100,000 people attend the show. Region members staff the booth and promote various SCCA functions. A couple of years ago, a few enthusiastic members were promoting autocross and when we had our first event a few months later, over 200 particpants showed up! Without spending $$, but just spending some spare time, we can get exposure and create interest for many new racers. A couple of EZups and a few cars will attract a lot of attention at any car related event. When we explain how (relatively) economical it is and the extreme fun factor, plenty of newbies will come on board. At local autocrosses, it's easy to offer a ride to folks. Once they've driven an F500, they'll likely want one. I know that happened to me, and to many who I've let drive my car. And it's not unusual for AX folks to "graduate" into roadracing.

PS...If I can get a motor installed this weekend, I'll add to the car counts by entering the Double National at Pocono next weekend.
