Chuck, In general you would be shifting after the rpm that hp peaked at. I'd suspect the ideal rpm would depend on shape of power curve and trans ratios. My thinking would be to get the rpm that had the highest average hp for the rpm range used in that particular gear. Of course with the cvt......
