First let me say I don't like being combined with the Fords for 2 days
(Wednesday & Thursday).

That being said the Formula Entries are

FA 16
FC 26
FF 35
FM 26
FV 45
F500 28

FA/FM are consolidated on Tuesday & Thursday, the original schedule had
them consolidated Monday-Thursday.

The Original Schedule had 5 groupings consolidated for each of the 4
days of qualifying.
GP/HP - GT1/GT2 - CSR/S2 - GTL/GT3 - FA/FM

The Revised Schedule has 7 groupings consolidated for some part of the 4
days of qualifying. In addition to those previously listed....F500/FF &
SSB/T3...with the exception of the CSR/S2 grouping each class gets at
least one session on track by themselves during Qualifying.

My biggest gripe with the revised schedule is that we are grouped with
the Fords on the days, hopefully, where we have learned the track and
are really shooting for good times. If we were grouped together on
Monday/Wednesday or Monday/Tuesday I would have minimal complaint. With
it being Wednesday/Thursday and the combined field being the maximum
SCCA permissible 63 cars on the 2.5 mile track, I don't have a good
feeling.

We can bitch all we want, unless the Fords and F500's can come to an
agreeable solution all we are doing is exercising our jaw muscles.

Let's start thinking of solutions.

Subject: [F500] Mixed qual sessions?

All:

The FF drivers are apparently unhappy about the combined qualifying
sessions scheduled for the Runoffs. See the thread at ApexSpeed:

One post from a serious FF contender:

<<<ok, here is the deal, I just spoke with Jerry Wannarka, who is the
chief steward for the r/o, at this point someone will need file a
protest with the chief steward asking for the sessions to be changed.
It will require documentation showing support from both groups. He said
we dont need 100% but a consensus. Jerry does not make the decision but
passes it along to the SOM.>>>

Those that are interested might want to contact these FF guys to put
together a plan....
