John, I can't understand why everyone doesn't understand what you and I understand. Look in the rule book and in the Hoosier Tire Catalog, the shorties are an optional tire that I feel we should not even consider giving up. With them and eight inch rims all around we can pass tech in any regional and national road race in the country. I refuse to give up something that is not just optional for Solo II, but is allowed under rules for F500. I will run in Amod in my region rather than add weight in my car and give up my tires/rims, just for the fun of it!

If the Solo V's don't think their cars have parity let them come up with ideas for their cars, again which are not GCR legal cars, to make them faster. Also let them spent lots and lots of money to do it period! I am not willing to spend 10cents to change my car for people who want to race a car that is built on 1937 technology! Don't get me wrong if money was no object I would own a FV and maybe a Solo V, but first I would have a Novakar and push along the guys are Arrow to finish their car!

You know, Bill, I'm getting DAMN tired of hearing ways to slow our cars
down! Seems like you're doing just fine by yourself!

It may not be real popular, but another way to penalize our cars would
be to make them run on the narrow tires both front and rear. Might be
more accepted than the dreaded "bolt on more lead" idea?
