Since this topic is hot - Don Hanley and I have been working on shipping my new
Red Devil roller from Butte, MT to Memphis, TN. I had a very preliminary
discussion with FedEx Freight about shipping a "crate of car parts". The
prelim estimate that they gave me was around $650. That was commercial
location to commercial location, with no lift required for pick up or delivery.
They will go residential on one end only for a fee, and send trucks with lifts
for an additional fee.

I called them in Dec, so the price was before their most recent increase. I
also need to get a lot of details straight with them before I'm confident that
I know the true cost. I'm planning to call them again in the next few weeks
and will post again once I have more info.

It really sucks that Consolidated Freight went bust.
