I have found them to work well in bounce but, not in rebound. As the
affected wheel unloads, it does so dramatically. The "new" idea works in
both. However, as rubber hardens, things change.
That's about the extent of my shock knowledge (obviously, I race F500's).

Although obsolete, I thought the tapered piston was a good idea.
I can see where that would be a good idea in theory, but it doesn't seem
to work well in practice. So, are these things generally all flat now?
