1. No meaningful difference in power in the RPM range we use this engine. (nb-debatable, but close enough) RAVE 494 are not legal,even if you change the liner to block the ports the horse is dead and well beaten
2. 493 are all RAVE RAVE theoretically doesn't make a difference in our RPM range I apologize for any confusion by that original list--this was compiled "as listed" from the Ronnies database. Take it for what it is worth. It is a cheat sheet for calling salvage yards and ebay 3. see above 4. best I could do is compile from Ronnies. Tis nearly the season for engine shopping on ebay/salvage yards...especially the salvage yards. Still, great deals turn up on ebay. The best deal around is getting a whole package from Tony Murphy. If that is not in the budget, call up Greg Olsen.
