Subject: [F500] Re-firing rebuilt 494

Hello all!
I'd like to bounce a situation off the list as I
attempt to start my rebuilt
494 that I've bolted back
into my KBS.

The situation:
-140 psi compression on
both cylinders
-spark at both plugs
-40:1 premix in a spare tank that is
getting pumped to
the carbs
-idle air mix screws set per the SkiDoo manual
(seat
screw and then back out 1.5 turns)

I'm assuming proper timing on the
rotary valve and the
magneto firing.

The engine has refused to fire after 300
pulls on the
starter cord (it's a total body workout!). It feels
like some
combustion is helping on some of the pulls,
but it's not firing or attempting
to catch and run.

Are there other things that I need to check or do?

Thanks
for any and all assistance,
Kenneth Kirkland
