I am 230 or so with gear.  When the 493 engine was weighed at 850, I had about
28lbs of ballast in the car.  I'll be close at the new 825 weight.  This is in
a KBS mk7.  There are definitely lighter chassis out there...
You can always
go to no onboard battery, or starter, or use a lighter this or that as you
need to.  You just have to pay attention to where you can lose weight out of
the car.

No offense intended but, I
wouldn't go on a search for ballast at this 
point.

I scale at about 212 at
the gym before my workout.  At that weight plus 
driving suit, helmet, HANS,
etc. and in the car with about a gallon and a 
half, me and my Mk7 weighed 831
on SCCA's scales.
