From the 2007 GCR:
"9.3.35. NON-METALLIC WHEEL CONSTRUCTION
Non-metallic chassis construction is prohibited, except in ASR, CSR,
DSR, S2000, and FA, where it is allowed. "
And this from the April FasTrack and Master Tech Bulletin:
"GCR – April 1. Correct section 9.3.35, p. 84, by inserting the
following, Non-metallic wheel construction is prohibited. Note: this
was formerly a part of section 11.2.1.Z but was inadvertently omitted
from the 2007 GCR."
So,m they are not allowed.
