I see nothing wrong with the way your brakes are working. You don't say if you are road racing or autocrossing. In autrocross, this maybe a problem, but for road racing, to have the pads back up a bit is a good thing. Less drag, more top speed.
I always pump the brakes a couple times as I approach a corner with my right foot firmly planted to the throttle stop. (WOT) At the right moment, left foot down, right foot up. ZZooomM.
