We have never been torn down at a National. Been torn down twice at the
Runoffs though & always been legal.

Thanks ... Jay Novak

Engines in F5 have been non uncommonly torn down at Runoffs. I am not aware
of any this year. I have the car that was DQed for a washer in place of the
thermostat in 1993. This does not happen "commonly" at other national
events in my few years of experience.

or does it happen from time to time?

seems pretty extreme for what I think of as a very grassroots racing
experience. I do know the motor builds are starting to get into the 7k
range for "stock" so maybe this is past due.
