Git is not the only way to contribute. You can send patches to the
mailing list. Or post them on a blog.

Code can (and does) exist out of the factor source tree. I have
projects in separate repositories that I haven't contributed to the
standard factor distribution. The s1mp3 stuff for example. If fact,
it's even easier now with the current vocab system. Just add your
directory with your code to the vocab search path and save your image.
I do this with my poker stuff.
