I think hook methods are probably best defined as a sort of wrapper that 
puts the variable on the stack, then does dispatch.  Unfortunately, I do 
not think Factor has support for the "advice" feature that would allow 
this, where you can make colon defs as a wrapper.

Advice would also help with memoization.
