I think you're exactly correct. It's interesting, I can locate almost every concept MMY utters in a specific text--often tantras of anuttara class. The exposition on the word "agni"--all from a text. The "gap"--very common in Trika literature. The "seven states of consciousness"--yet another text. And on and on. It's really disgusting the way they divvy out their alleged "knowledge" as if it was all uttered or "cognized" by MMY. They're not. They all come from standard texts, although some--like the exposition on agni, are quite obscure. In short, they hide the texts--the primary source material. A good Indologist should know these things. MMY's "Vedic Science" is a closed loop--"self referral"--meaning in this case it only refers to its own "pure" system. What a scam. Basically a TMO trained "Vedic scholar" would only be acceptable one place: in or around the TMO. > Again, who at MIU/MUM has heard of > Abhinavagupta? A lot of what MMY says is straight from him (and that tradition), but people believe it is MMY's words. -Vaj To subscribe, send a message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Or go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FairfieldLife/ and click 'Join This Group!'
